How to Deal with Stress During Exams
The Greatest
Weapon against stress is Our Ability to choose one thought over another.
William James
Do you feel
stressed during your exams..? Do you feel helpless to handle it? Then don’t
worry. You are one among the millions of students across the globe who shares
same thoughts.
Stress is
nothing but a situation which is just a Little bit out of your Comfort zone and
all that matters is your reaction to it. Remember Life is 10% what happens to
you and 90% how you react to it.
Feeling
stressed in today’s era of Intense Competition is Pretty much Inevitable. I
agree with the fact that Exams do come with a lot of Expectations, It might not
be just yours but your parents, Teachers, Peers and most important your
Relatives.
So What can
you do about it? Do you want to know a way out of it..? Yes there are ways..
Here you’ll
find few Tips to Deal with stress during Exams.
1. One thing at a time.
What students
do is they think about the whole scenario of Exams at once which is pretty
scary I know. What you should do is focus on one thing at a time. For Example:
Instead of thinking about your syllabus, presentations, viva and your personal
Problems etc focus on one job and try finishing it with all your concentration
and you’llfind it done right away with accuracy.
2. Don’t make mountains out of
molehills.
The best way
to make your life simple and easy is by not building mountains out of
molehills. What I mean is why to create extra drama, Overthinking or creating a
problem out of something that matters very less to us. I absolutely agree with
the fact students have a hectic schedule. They have to take care of their love
life, Friends & family, studies etc. what you can do is prioritize the
things which needs your attention right away and save others for later.
Simple..!
3. Set clear boundaries for your day.
This one is
very important, at least for me.
You have to
set a schedule for things which you do when you are not studying. Your meal
timings, Walks or travelling time, Time for other miscellaneous
works. You have to rationally calculate the proportion of time you distribute
for each of your work.
4. Take time out for yourself.
Yes..! It is
important for you even during exams to take out time for things which you love
doing. It will make you relaxed and will create more space in your mind. It
will eventually help you dedicate more time to your studies without getting
mentally sick.
All the best
and happy studying..!!
