BFIT CELEBRATES 17th UTTARAKHAND FOUNDATION DAY

BFIT Group of Institution wishes the 17th Uttarakhand Foundation Day.



BFIT celebrates 17th Birthday of Uttarakhand establishment. Uttarakhand is known for the natural environment of the Himalayas, the Bhabhar and the Terai. On 9 November 2000, Uttaranchal became the 27th state of the Republic of India under the BJP government, after a long-drawn agitation., being created from the Himalayan and adjoining northwestern districts of Uttar Pradesh. In January 2007 the Uttaranchal turns into Uttarakhand, meaning “northern region,” which was the traditional name for the area.
Uttarakhand has two divisions : i) Garhwal  ii) Kumaon. It has 13 districts . Garhwal division has Dehradun, Haridwar, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri Garhwal, Uttarkashi, and Pauri Garhwal districts . Kumaon division has Champawat ,  Almora , Bageshwar ,  Nainital ,  Pithoragarh ,  Rudrapur districts . These districts have some of the highest Himalayan peaks located here.
Its peaks and valleys were well known in ancient times as the abode of gods and goddesses and source of the Ganges River that’s why  called Dev Bhoomi ” – “the Land of the Gods” because of the presence of a multitude of Hindu pilgrimage spots.
Krishna Kant Paul is the 6th Governor of the state. Trivendra Singh Rawat is a chief minister of Uttarakhand.  Expressing his good wishes to the people of Uttarakhand on the eve of the State foundation day, the Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat elicited focus on a young Uttarakhand and a strong commitment. He said : Our state is full of opportunities with immense scope for tourism and wealth of forest and water resources. We are committed to building a new Uttarakhand.
